Seeing Gremlins

By Ed Fitch

When you are in an airplane flying on a moonlit night and you are in a window seat, fix your gaze out on a wing, and look for slightly brighter spots of moonlight glistening off the metal.  These are likely air elementals, a subspecies of the “gremlin” who have some along for the ride.  Forgetting Hollywood’s ridiculous portrayals, you should know these creatures are usually well intentioned, if occasionally a little mischievous.  If you have some second sight, it is likely that you will be able to see them walking across the wing, or sitting on the leading edge with their little feet dangling in the wind, enjoying the ride.  Send them blessings and good wishes in your mind – they can be enjoyable company and useful friends later!
