Angels of the Seasons

From, “Angels Companions in Magick” by Silver RavenWolf

Seasonal magick, to me, is one of the purest forms of the art.  As himans, we move in tandem with the cycles of the Earth, mingling with the various cloaks of energy and transmutation the Earth wears.  With seasonal magick, the focus is on bringing prosperity and harmony into form.  Invoke the angels attributed to each season on the first day of the season (or close to when it begins) for your general welfare, then throughout the season for specific matters.

Spring

The Spring Equinox occurs around March 21.   Spring brings rebirth, rejuvenation, the planting of ideas, friendships, sexual union, fun, creativity, and communication.  Magicks performed would be for healing, purficiation, psychism, bill-paying, planting out of doors, fertility, and all manner of things associated with air.  Spring’s colors are pastels of any shade.

Milkiel is the ruling angel of spring and all the necessary energies that create the season.  Spugliguel is the head of spring.  To begin the season, seek the assistance of both Milkiel and Spugliguel.  Four other angels (Amatiel, Carascara, Core, and Commissoros) associate themselves with this season as guardians.

Summer

The Summer Solstice occurs around June 21.  summer is the time of rapid growth, projects in full bloom, deep sexual union, strength, and the desire to share the wealth of the universe.  Magicks done at this time are for bringing love towards yourself, beauty, protection, physical and magickal energy, courage, marriage, and all magicks involving the element of fire.  Summer’s colors are vibrant shades of green, blue, pink, and yellow.

The head angel of Summer is Tubiel, who is also invoked for the return of small birds to their owners.  The angels below him include Gaviel, Tariel, and Gargatel, who function as guardians of the season.  Oranir is the chief of the Summer Solstice and is considered effective against the evil eye.

Autumn

The Autumn Equinox occurs around September 21.  Autumn is the time of harvest and fruition, of laying plans for the winter months and tying up any loose ends in life.  Magicks done at this time are for employment, large possessions (homes, cars, refridgerators, stoves, furnaces, additions to one’s home, furniture, etc), healing, all types of study, and all magick involving the element of water.  The colors of Autumn include orange, gold, tan, brown,  and deep yellow.

Torquaret is considered the head of the season, with the angels Tarquam and Guabarel as guardians.

Winter

The Winter Solstice occurs around December 21.  this is the time to rest, take stock of your accomplishments, and create long-term plans for the coming growing season.  Relaxation through quiet creativity often occurs in the cold months; extra sleep and nourishment of the body and mind are now required.  Magicks done at this time are for the banishment of any disease (Whether mental or physical), meditation, breaking habits (including addictions and negative patterns), planning magicks, and any magicks involving the element of earth.  Winter’s colors are white, green, red, and gray.

Attaris is the head of this season’s angels, with Amabael and Cetarari acting as guardians.  Michael is also the angel of snow.

The Angelic Days of the Week

From “Angels Companions in Magick” By Silver RavenWolf

Monday

Monday centers on the energies of the Moon.  Things like psychism, dreams, feminine energy, health, success in spiritual pursuits, domestic matters, and things of family origin are especially important today.  Monday’s colors are silver and white.

Angels of Monday are Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha.  Arcan is known as the king of the angels of air and the “ruler” of Monday.  Abuzaha (Abuzohar) serves Monday and is very responsive to invocations and ritual magick.  Missabu is a ministering angel of Arcan.

Tuesday

Tuesday revolves around the energies of Mars.  Tuesdays are good for business, mechanical things, buying and selling animals, hunting, beginning studies, gardening, sexual activities, and confrontation.  Tuesday’s colors are red, rose, or scarlet.

Angels of Tuesday are Camael, Samael, Satael, Amabiel, Friagne, and Hyniel.  When invoked, Camael takes the form of a leopard.  In Druid mythology he is a god of war, which is why we see him associated with Mars (again, notice the influence of the Pagan belief system).  Camael is said to be a member of the “Magnificent Seven” I n some circles.  Camael is another “terminator” angel.  However, some claim he tried to keep Moses from receiving the Torah and met his permanent demise, though Cabbalists often claim he survived destruction.

Samael walks both worlds as a magician and sorcerer.  Some see him as the angel of death, others as the “bright and poisonous one.”  Many consider him more of a demon, and accuse him of being Satan.  However, there is reference to the satans (plural) as enforcers of the law, a sort of angelic police, if you will.  Supposedly, when Samael is around, dogs howl in the night.  On one hand, he is the ruler of the fifth heaven and in charge of two million angels; on the other, he is the one who changed into a serpent and convinced Eve to partake of the forbidden fruit of knowledge.

Satael is an angel of air invoked in magic rites and is the presiding spirit of the planet Mars.  Amabiel is another spirit of the planet Mars; however, he spends his energy on issues of human sexuality.  Friagne, also an angel of this day, is invoked from the east.  He is a member of the fifth heaven.  Hyniel also belongs to this day and is subject to the east wind.

Wednesday

Under the guidance of Mercury, Wednesday is a day of swift activity, communication, correspondence, and phone calls.  This is a good day for journalists, writers, poet, bargaining, hiring employees, and visiting friends.  Wednesday’s colors are orange, light blue, and gray.

Wednesday’s angels are Raphael, Miel, and Seraphiel.  All three of these angels function as the guardians of the planet of Mercury.  Not much information can be found about Miel, but Seraphiel is a chief in the order of Seraphim.  He seems to rank as the highest of the princes.  Invoke him from the north.

Thursday

Thursday is a Jupiter day.  This is a great day for money issues, as Jupiter is the ruling planet of all sorts of financial concerns.  Self-improvement, research, and study are also good on this day, as well as travel and social gatherings.  Thursday’s colors are purple and royal blue.

Thursday’s angel is Sachiel.  Sachiel sort of surfs the days of the week, and in various texts can be found in the Monday, Thursday, or Friday categories.  He presides over the planet Jupiter.  Invoke him from the south.

Friday

Matters of love, human interaction, the fluidity of communication, sewing and the creation of artistic garments, household improvement, shopping, and party planning all fall under the aspects of Friday and its ruling planet, Venus.  Friday’s colors are emerald green or pink.

Friday’s angels are Arial/Uriel, Rachiel, and Sachiel.  Rachiel also concerns himself with human sexuality and is a presiding spirit of the planet Venus.

Saturday

The planetary correspondence for Saturday is Saturn.  Matters dealing with the public, farming, family ties, legal matters (such as wills and estates), taking care of debts, dealing with lawyers, financing, joint money matters, real estate, older people, banishing or binding negativity, and getting rid of bad habits all fall under the charge of Saturn.  Saturday’s color is black.

Saturday’s angels are Cassiel, Machatan, Uriel, and Orifiel.  Cassiel is the angel of solitudes and tears.  He is one of the rulers of planet Saturn and occasionally appears as the angel of patience.  Cassiel links himself to dragon energy (he adores dragons.)  Regarding Machatan, the only information we get is that he works well with Cassiel and is also a power of Saturn.  Orifiel is an angel of the wilderness, a ruler of the second hour of the day, and is also associated with Saturn.

Sunday

Sunday is influenced by the Sun.  community work, volunteer services, exercise, outdoor sports, buying, selling, speculating, meeting people, anything involving groups, funning fairs and raffles, growing crops, and taking care of all health matters fall under the influence of the Sun.  Sunday’s colors are gold or yellow.

Michael is the primary angel of Sunday, but each hour of the Day also has its secondary angel.  These angels are Michael (first hour), Anael (second hour), Raphael (third hour), Gabriel (fourth hour), Cassiel (fifth hour), Sachiel (sixth hour), Samael (seventh hour), Michael (either hour), Anael (ninth hour), Raphael (tenth hour), Gabriel (eleventh hour), and Cassiel (twelfth hour).  Notice some of the angels do double duty this day.
